The Story

When Gabor and I were kids our mom used to make a spaghetti dish called ‘Baked Spaghetti. In a 2” deep baking pan she would mix Spaghetti with a Bolognese sauce (meat sauce) top it with mozzarella cheese and put it in the oven. The combination of the melted cheese, spaghetti & meat sauce was incredible. Nothing fancy, you just grabbed a fork & knife and stuffed your face! Real comfort food!

As kids growing up mom knew how much we and our friends loved ‘Baked Spaghetti’ so she always made enough for leftovers. The next day we would take the cold leftovers out of the fridge, cut a slice and since it was cold Gabor and I could hold the chunk of spaghetti with our hands just like a slice of pizza. It was cold but we could hold & eat Spaghetti Bolognese in our hands!

Fast Forward 25 Years…

We’re in our thirties now, about 2 years ago I drop by to visit the parents, I go to the fridge, open the door and staring back at me was ‘Baked Spaghetti’ leftovers. So I carve myself a chunk, throw it in the microwave, grab a fork and knife, move in for a bite when an idea rips through my mind.

Wouldn’t it be great if I could eat the spaghetti just like I used to when I was a kid – with my hands, without a mess but with one exception? Hot instead of cold!

Simply put – How can I eat hot Spaghetti with my hands without making a mess?
AFTER A YEAR OF HARD WORK, AND 100’S OF FAILURES WE FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!
